Bluemarine: The Flying Free Spirit

The are many collections of this season that I adore, yet none can strike me with surprise like Bluemarine's Fall 2012 ready to wear collection.
Why?

The colors.
The fabrics.
The patterns.

Just the opening Fluorescent Mongolian fur coats can make the crowd marvel. But that wasn't all. Then there came the wave of futuristic and edgy outfits, featuring metallics, holograms, iridescence, fur, leopard prints, and all things shiny.

The designer, Anna Molinari, seems to throw the caution of conventional matching rules to the wind and just have fun by mixing and mingling all the goodies together.

From fur with metallic fabric, leopard print with "different specie" of another leopard print, and the print with iridescent colors.

The appearance of  5 ordinary black dresses also surprise me a bit, but the brand doesn't forget to jazz those dresses up with black metallic boots. Word can't probably describe as much as photos. Judge them by yourself.

The Finale -- Metallic - Print - Iridescent --- All in one!

The show seems to be quite well-received. So I guess the moral of the story is...

In fashion, The golden rule is..."there is no freakin' rule!!"

New article on style icons and fashion set to be expected! Very soon!

I'm gonna get to direct my own set of photo shooting soon!

Here's the thing, my schedule has been $%#&*!!@#*$*%>?$#@!..... lately. You know what I mean.

So I apologize if the blog has barely been blogged for these couple days.
But the new one is coming soon.

And it's going to be awesome!

I just finished an article for my final project of Magazine class at the college.
It's about 5 styles icons who put on the pants when they weren't really supposed to.

You know, those times when women were meant to be in the kitchen and make a sandwich only.

Their stories and styles will be explored. Plus, the Then and Now fashion set!

Next week is going to be the photo shoot session for this article.

Do expect the timeless beauty that will be adapted to my living models.

A little teaser photo of Katherine Hepburn in the studio
with Cary Grant, wearing the male trousers.  What a hipster!

Can't wait to get mingled with these fashion affairs!

Stay tuned and stay pretty as always,

Sally N.

The Hats Are Back!

Left: Louis Vuitton// Top: Marc Jacobs // Bottom: Lanvin // Right: Ralph Lauren

Stay covered for this fall/winter 2012. I’ve seen a wave of weird-looking hats on high-end runways, and believe it or not, those things start to look a little cute now as they have been incepted into my fashion sub-consciousness. I’ve seen them on LV, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and so many more.
Take a quick flash at Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Runway, the brand went all old-school with big fluffy squashed hat that made you think of Russian military during the time when railway was still the coolest transportation. These hats made the show that could have made you go beddie-by remarkable instead with its exotic choice of fabrics and baubles.
Yes, those attention-seeking hats are a must now, unfortunately. So put some questionable object on your head. I'm not gonna promise that it will get you a lot of compliments, but I promise an instant extra 5 inches of your height, seriously.

My new addiction, Lookbook.nu!

I've been addicted to Lookbook.nu lately.
So the thought of collecting photos of my daily mix&match came up.
Here's my first look.
I'll call it, "The Stripe of Passion ."
And yep, you can expect more in the future.

Stay pretty,

What is your dose of Nectar?

This blog is emerged from 1 single thing…
“Passion”
And it will remain as the only thing that drives this blog forward.
The name says it all…”Fashion Nectar”
Of course, it’s about fashion.
But why Nectar?
I don’t know how people perceive fashion, but to me, it’s a form of…Happiness
For me, nicely grooming myself and putting on beautiful clothes
can somehow brighten up my whole day.
Just like a dose of sweet nectar…

It might sound shallow to some, but why judge?
People have different ways of satisfying and making themselves happy.
I’ve found mine, and I’m happy to share it with everyone.
So ask yourself, what’s your dose of Nectar?
Stay pretty,
Sally N.
